We were so impressed we came back, I'm actually sitting in the restaurant writing this review.....this is something that need to be improved. We walked in tables were empty but not cleared. We sat for a while without being acknowledged, while the tables were still not cleared.
This restaurant deserves only 3 stars because it needs some work to improve. Like other reviews mention, the food is great! However, the service was a mess. We were told to sit wherever we wanted by the busser. Then the bus girl took our drink order. We ordered two drinks and a hot chocolate. The busgirl gave us our drinks, and then another woman came and dropped off my hot chocolate. About 5 minutes later our server finally introduced herself. I was confused this whole time, and I thought the busgirl was actually our server. The food came out at a decent time, but it took the waitress forever to bring us our check. I flagged her down when she was half way across the restaurant because she was clearly ignoring us.
We stopped in for breakfast this morning after spending several days as vendors at the Yellow Daisy Festival. Because of Hurricane Irma, we were unable to return home to Jacksonville FL as planned. Instead we came to this restaurant and were greeted with the kindest people. They were very concerned about our families and homes back in Jacksonville, and served us the best breakfast! Thank you so much for making a stressful day much better for us

We went for lunch and everything was so good! I had the fish and grits and hubby had chicken and waffles. The chicken and fish was crispy and seasoned well. The cheese grits were creamy and delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back.
We finally sat at a tables that was cleared but not clean. We watched other patron came in stood at the front until they walk away. We sat for more than 30 minutes, the same tables still not cleared, people still waiting.
Great place for breakfast in stone mountain. My husband and I were looking for a new place to have breakfast and we found this gem. Food and service was great.
The owner came over and talked to us, and I told him about these issues. He was super polite and very concerned with our experience. The other waitresses were more prompt with their tables. The one I had was too busy exchanging job duties with the bus girl to do her job effectively for other customers as well.
We loved Huskers Cafe! The food was very good and service was even better. We didn't feel like we were getting the same old frozen breakfast from other restaurant. The food tasted very fresh, especially the grits. We will definitely be back and will bring others.
